Privacy Policy

Effective May 29, 2026 · Operated by Errata Inc., a Delaware C-corporation (“Bruce,” “we,” “us”). Bruce is intended for users in the United States.

1. What Bruce is

Bruce is a messaging interface that lets you place trades on CFTC-regulated prediction-market exchanges (e.g., Kalshi) through your own exchange account. We are not an exchange and do not hold your money.

2. Information we collect

• Phone number (and email, if you join the waitlist) — to identify you and text you.
• Messages you send us — your texts, including bet instructions. To understand them, we send message content to our AI provider, Anthropic, which returns structured bet details.
• Linked exchange credentials — the API key you connect. Stored encrypted; used only to place orders you confirm. We never see or store your exchange password.
• Trading activity — bet previews, confirmations, orders, and fills.
• Technical / eligibility data — IP and approximate region, and basic service logs.

3. How we use it

To interpret your bets, place the orders you confirm on your linked exchange, text you back, help assess service availability, region, and compliance requirements (your exchange makes the final eligibility and account determinations), provide support, secure the service and prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.

4. AI processing

Your message content is processed by Anthropic to provide AI services to us. As of this policy’s effective date, Anthropic states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models without express permission and are generally deleted from its backend within 30 days, subject to safety, abuse, legal, or contractual exceptions. We do not use your content to train our own models.

5. Who we share with

Service providers acting on our behalf: Twilio (SMS), Anthropic (AI), your exchange (e.g., Kalshi, to place your orders), and our hosting and analytics providers. We do not share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes; we share this information with service providers only as needed to operate Bruce and deliver messages. We also share information to comply with law or protect safety, and in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case your information may transfer to the successor entity.

7. Your credentials

Your linked exchange credentials are encrypted at rest, never sold, and used solely to place orders you confirm. You can revoke access at any time by unlinking or by rotating/deleting the API key at your exchange.

8. Retention

We keep your information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for legal, security, and operational purposes, then delete or anonymize it. We may retain transaction, security, compliance, and dispute records where required or reasonably necessary, even after an account-deletion request.

9. Your choices & rights

Reply STOP to end texts; unlink your exchange account at any time; and request access to or deletion of your data at privacy@betwithbruce.com (subject to the retention carve-out above). Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (such as the CCPA); contact us to exercise them.

10. SMS

By texting Bruce you consent to receive text messages from us. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

11. Security

We encrypt credentials and use reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

12. 18+ only

Bruce is not intended for anyone under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
