Terms of Service

Effective May 29, 2026 · A binding agreement between you and Errata Inc., a Delaware C-corporation (“Bruce,” “we,” “us”). Bruce is intended for users in the United States.

1. Acceptance & eligibility

By using Bruce you agree to these Terms. You must be 18+ (or the age of majority where you live), legally eligible in your jurisdiction, and have your own account at a supported exchange.

2. What Bruce is — and isn’t

Bruce is a technology interface for order entry on your own linked exchange account, placing orders you confirm using your credentials. Bruce is not itself an exchange, clearinghouse, futures commission merchant, introducing broker, commodity trading advisor, broker-dealer, or investment adviser, and does not custody your funds or hold or move your money. Bruce does not offer sportsbook, casino, or wagering products. Supported exchanges offer event contracts as CFTC-regulated financial products, subject to their own rules and eligibility requirements.

3. Your exchange account

You are responsible for maintaining your own exchange account, complying with that exchange’s terms, and confirming your own eligibility. You authorize Bruce to place only the orders you explicitly confirm, and you may revoke this authorization at any time.

4. How orders work

You text your intent → Bruce shows you a preview → you confirm → Bruce submits a limit order to your exchange. Orders are subject to your exchange’s rules, availability, pricing, and execution. Bruce is not responsible for exchange-side outcomes, including non-fills, price movement within your confirmed limit, settlement, or exchange downtime.

5. Not financial advice

Bruce is informational and does not provide investment, legal, or tax advice or recommendations. You make your own decisions and bear the risk of loss.

6. Risk

Event contracts can lose value, up to your entire stake. Funds held at your exchange are not FDIC- or SIPC-insured. Availability and legality vary by jurisdiction.

7. Your responsibility & device security

You agree not to use Bruce unlawfully, where prohibited, to evade eligibility checks, with credentials that are not yours, or in any way that harms the service or others. You are responsible for securing your phone, messaging account, and exchange account. Bruce may treat messages and confirmations sent from your phone number as authorized unless you notify us that your number or device has been compromised.

8. Fees

Bruce is free to use; we do not charge you fees. We may receive compensation from exchanges or partners (for example, referral or volume-based payments); this never adds a cost to you, and we will disclose any arrangement that materially affects you. If we introduce user-facing fees in the future, we will disclose them clearly before they take effect and before they apply to you.

9. SMS

By texting Bruce you consent to receive texts; message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help, as described in our Privacy Policy. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

10. Disclaimers

Bruce is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Errata Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Errata Inc.’s total liability for all claims will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amounts you paid Bruce in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Errata Inc. from claims arising out of your use of Bruce or your violation of these Terms.

13. Suspension & changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Bruce at any time, with or without notice. We may update these Terms; your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law & venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware for any dispute not otherwise resolved.
